Well, at of all the fish&chips shops I've been too in Melbourne, the best of best thus far is Surrey Hills Fish Chips & Grill, why...??? Not only fast & quick service, but for me, it's all about the fish, crispy on the outside with a thick Fillet within! Good fish and chips is unfortunately a dying art in Melbourne these days.... I have been in the area for a long time and it was never an issue to find a good product, but now it is. George and Anna in Canterbury, David in Surrey Hills... all gone... such a relief to find a brilliant operator in the area ! One of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Faultless. Quite often the paper at the bottom of the pack is see through with all the drained fat - not one drop of fat here. Generous portion, well cooked, great quality, clean looking shop and pleasant staff. Thank goodness we have a good operator in the area again !

Just tried this place for the first time. It was Good Friday so knew it would be busy. Advised 30-40 min, ended up being 70 min. No apologies. Food was average, flake size was small, price was higher than my regular place. Didn’t impress me in any way to make me a regular.
